Mr. Agha, M.Tech (CSE) student at IIT Patna, is an innovative Software Engineer and passionate Social Activist.
Mr. Agha Ahmad is an M.Tech student at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna and serves as the CEO of Xeromile Technology and the President of afifa foundation.
In 2010, Mr. Agha identified the root cause of poverty in Kishanganj district, Bihar, and initiated a Social Entrepreneurship Development Movement aimed at creating lasting change. He began engaging in dialogues to inspire people to embrace social entrepreneurship.
With the mission to inspire, inform, and enable people to create innovative social enterprises that address societal issues, Mr. Agha founded afifa foundation in 2017, registering it under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 in the state of Bihar. The foundation's registered office is located in Kishanganj district.
afifa foundation is dedicated to making a meaningful impact across Health, Education, and Environment. Its initiatives have touched the lives of over 10,000 people. The foundation's collaborations include notable partnerships with AIIMS Rishikesh for health initiatives, Midas Touch Manipur for environmental projects, and youth-focused programs with the United Nations Major Group for Children and Youth.
In recognition of its groundbreaking work, afifa foundation was among the two NGOs from Bihar invited to participate in the NGO Conclave at the 2nd India International Science Festival (IISF) 2016. This event marked the beginning of Vibha Vani India, where afifa foundation emerged as a founding member. Today, Vibha Vani India operates across 20 states with over 1000 associate organizations, focusing on grassroots development and research.
Mr. Agha graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management, Nagpur. He completed both his Higher Secondary Certificate (12th) and Secondary School Certificate (10th) from the Maharashtra State Board. Notably, Mr. Agha secured the 1st rank in the Secondary School Certificate (10th) Maharashtra State Board Night Stream.
Mr. Agha's remarkable contributions earned him invitations to prestigious global platforms like the UN Youth Plenary and the ECOSOC Youth Forum at the United Nations Headquarters, New York.
His pursuit of excellence continued with certifications from esteemed global institutions, including Harvard University, USA in Entrepreneurship in Emerging Economies, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA in Becoming an Entrepreneur, Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, USA in Farm Data Management for Agriculture Development, and KAICIID in Interreligious Dialogue for Peace and Social Cohesion.
Amidst the COVID-19 crisis, Mr. Agha spearheaded a Teleconsultation Project with AIIMS Rishikesh, providing virtual consultations with senior doctors. Witnessing the pressing healthcare needs, he left his job to establish afifa Care Private Limited - a government recognized startup supported by both state and central funding. afifa Care has been instrumental in addressing critical healthcare challenges and improving access to medical services.
