Recognizing Innovation in Tele-Consultation During COVID-19
"Tele-Consultation: An Initiative of afifa foundation & AIIMS Rishikesh,"
was recognized for its significant contribution to public health and well-being during the COVID-19 pandemic, having provided healthcare support to more than 10,000 individuals.
Er. Agha Ahmad, the visionary founder of afifa foundation, was awarded the Certificate of Merit at the India International Science Festival (IISF) 2021, held in Goa from December 10-13, 2021 for Tele-Consultation Project.
The prestigious Certificate of Merit was presented by Dr. M. Ravichandran, Secretary, Ministry of Earth Sciences, in the presence of eminent dignitaries, including:
• NP Rajiv - Executive Director, Vibha Vani
• Smt. Indira Murthy - Joint Secretary, Ministry of Earth Sciences
• Dr. Indu Puri - Scientist F, Department of Science and Technology
This honor was conferred during the Valedictory Function of the National Social Organizational and Institutional Meet (NSOIM) Event at IISF 2021.

Speaking on the occasion, Er. Agha Ahmad emphasized the importance of Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) in achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He stated:
“Inspiring, informing, and enabling society through STI is a vital means to achieving the SDGs. Mobilizing Science, Technology, and Innovation for sustainable development is the need of the hour and aligns with our Honorable Prime Minister's vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat.”

• Recognition at IISF 2020 - The Foundation's Science, Technology & Innovation Forum (STi Forum) was selected for presentation at the Young Scientists' Conference at IISF 2020. STi Forum is a dedicated virtual open-source platform for knowledge sharing and research dissemination, connecting researchers and innovators with real-world applications.
• Best Innovator Award, London (2020) - afifa foundation received the Best Innovator Award from We Make Change (London) for its project, “New Age New Culture - Mission Digital Inclusion.” This initiative focuses on creating digitally inclusive communities, ensuring equitable access to digital opportunities for underprivileged populations.

afifa foundation's association with the India International Science Festival dates back to 2016, when it was among the first two organizations from Bihar to be invited to the NGO Conclave Event at IISF 2016, held at the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research - National Physical Laboratory (CSIR-NPL), New Delhi.
Since then, afifa foundation has been serving as a National Governing Body of Vibha Vani India, an outcome of the IISF 2016 NGO Conclave. This collaboration has enabled the Foundation to continue its mission of leveraging science and technology for social transformation.
